Metro Players

View pictures from the past 30 years of Metroplayers!

The Metro Players are an inter-generational all-volunteer group of thespians of varying degrees of experience and ability. For over 30 years, the group has presented theatrical offerings ranging from one-act plays to full-length dramas and comedies. Some members of Metropolitan have literally grown up in the Players. Under the amazing and consistent leadership of founder Frances Bartley Cleaver (now retired), the Players have presented works that are informative, consciousness-raising, sometimes controversial, and always artfully done.

The mission of the Players is to present credible theater both for the Metropolitan congregation and for the community at-large. Opportunities in the Players include on-stage performance and behind the scenes support, including: lighting, sound, sets, props, costuming, makeup and hair, publicity, play reading and selection, and much more! If you have any questions about our work, have any suggestions for plays for us to consider producing, or wish to join us either onstage or backstage, please contact us at
