As the faith expression of a member of our congregation, Barbara Gaskill, The Ballet Studio provides professional caliber training to students 7-16 on a scholarship basis. Through art, Barbara teaches discipline, self-respect, teamwork and consideration for others. The Ballet Studio is a program within the walls of Brightwood Elementary School in northwest Washington. Our new location and opportunity are the result of our new partnership with Emory Beacon of Light, an outreach non profit organization of Emory United Methodist Church.

The Brightwood Elementary School has an enrollment of about 400 students. We are very excited about the prospect of bringing dance to these young lives. |
The Ballet Studio was founded in 1992 with the intent of making access to a full, quality, ballet education possible for all children. The Studio is known for its broad multi-cultural character, as well as for its quality training. |
