Summer Sunday School

We kicked off Summer Sunday School earlier this month and it’s been wonderful to see so many smiling faces in attendance every week.

Throughout June and July, the kids are invited to the choir room after the children’s sermon in the 9 a.m. service, for a Summer Sunday Singalongs. We belt out some of our favorites such as “Whose Side are You Leaning On?" and "B-I-B-L-E." Plus under the able leadership of Barbara Gaskill, the children have been exploring movement.

Sunday School for Children in July will be Sundays of Service. Each week, we'll learn about a different ministry at Metropolitan and do a service project in support of that ministry. See this space for updates every week. Here's what's on tap for us:

July 5 – Grand Oaks Monthly Worship Service.
Annette Fletchall will visit tell children what it’s like to hold a worship service at Sibley nursing home every month. Kids will make wall hangings to be given to worshippers.
July 12 – Visitor Corps
July 19 – Community Council on the Homeless
July 26 -- AU Campus Ministries

Plan on joining us for Sunday School all or some of the weeks in July. There will be no Sunday School in August, and we’ll start up with our regular Sunday School on September 13.

If you have any questions please contact, Anita Seline, Director of Children's Ministries.
