Christ's Love at Christmas
Like so many others displaced by the devastating
storms that hit the Gulf Coast, the extended family of Sandra
Herod was evacuated from New Orleans and relocated to the
Washington, DC area. The generosity of many at Metropolitan
Memorial helped to make the holidays a little brighter for
them. Many hands came together to provide a full Christmas
meal. The youth group got together and donated dozens of
gifts, made cards, and baked cookies for the eight children
in the family. And other groups in the church have given
financial assistance that has helped to reunite family members
scattered to other cities. What a joy it was to share Christ's
love at Christmas!
