Rebuilding Together Team Tackles Home Repairs for an Elderly Widow
On Saturday, April 30 a team of ten volunteers from the Metropolitan Cooperative Parish led by Lee Crockett worked to repair and renew the home of Mrs. Nettie Johnson, an elderly resident of South East DC. After clearing out Mrs. Johnson's basement and crawl space to give her better access to laundry and storage, the group painted her bathroom, vented the drier, and secured a number of windows and doors to make them more safe and weather tight. The Metropolitan Team was one of many taking part in the city-wide Rebuilding Together workday.
